Where the seal is placed changes the bag
Bottom-seal bags have a seal across the bottom edge and an open top. Side-seal bags are formed and sealed along the side edges. Material orientation, appearance, loading and machinery determine the better option.
Questions to ask
- Where should the opening be?
- How will the bag be filled?
- Does the product create concentrated stress?
- Is presentation or a clean side edge important?
- Is a gusset required?
